RISING COLOURS is a new showcase for Mississauga-based queer artists designed to connect with and celebrate our city’s queer community. Along with a variety of stage performances, there will be visual art vendors set up around the audience displaying and selling their work.
Application Deadline: Monday, May 25 at 11:59PM EDT
Applicants Notified: By end of day Wednesday, May 27
Event Date: Friday, June 12 at 6:30PM EDT
For Performing Artists
All disciplines of stage performances (music, spoken word/poetry, theatre, dance, etc.) are encouraged to apply. Acts can be up to 5 minutes. While non-original works (e.g., song covers) are welcome to be submitted, original works will be prioritized.

For Visual Artists
All disciplines of visual art (traditional, digital, sculpture, fibre arts, etc.) are encouraged to apply. There are no tabling fees! While non-original subjects (i.e., fan-art) are welcome to be submitted, original works will be prioritized. AI-generated artwork is strictly prohibited.
