Are you passionate about the arts and good with people? Help Eagle Spirits of the Great Waters recruit, organize, and support the amazing volunteers behind Mississauga’s most prominent Indigenous cultural events.

Age: 18+
Location: Mississauga (In-person events + remote planning)
Time Commitment: Varied. Minimal most months. Busy seasons (May–June & July–October) 4–6 hours/month plus 0.5 to 3 days onsite during events (can include evenings/weekends).

This role works with our Director of Arts and Projects.

Key Responsibilities
•    Recruitment & Outreach: Help spread the word about upcoming volunteer needs for events, exhibitions, and workshops.
•    Scheduling & Tracking: Match volunteers to roles, manage shift schedules, and track hours for grant reporting.
•    Onsite Support: Act as the friendly, go-to contact during live events.
•    Communication: Send out event details, reminders, and thank-you messages to volunteers.

What We Are Looking For
Prior coordination experience is a plus, but we primarily value a mix of organization and warm, people-first energy:
•    People Skills: A warm, welcoming demeanor and clear communication skills.
•    Execution: Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and calm problem-solving during dynamic events.
•    Tech & Passion: Comfort with basic digital tools (calendars, spreadsheets) and a genuine passion for arts and culture.
