The City of Mississauga’s Public Art Program is working with AVA Animation and Visual Arts Inc. to once again transform one of the façades of the Hazel McCallion Central Library into a giant canvas for large-scale 3D projection mapping.
AVA will lead a series of four projection mapping workshops where selected emerging artists will work to bring their projection mapping ideas into reality. Participants can expect to:
- Gain skills in projection mapping processes, programs and best practices
- Expand their portfolio, exploring projection mapping as a new medium and creative resource.
- Build connections and expand their network with other artists and curators.
- Learn from AVA about their experience in content creation for projection mapping
Each selected artist will receive $1,500.00 + HST CAD for participating in this mentorship opportunity. Up to seven artists may be selected.
Visit the City of Mississauga’s website to apply.
Submissions will be accepted until July 8, 2025, at 11:59 pm EDT.
