Calling all local filmmakers!
Are you a filmmaker living, working or creating in Lakeview, Port Credit, Long Branch, Mineola, Applewood, Dixie, Sheridan, Alderwood, South Etobicoke or the wider Mississauga area?
CreativeHub 1352 is looking for high quality locally made short films to be showcased as part of a special evening celebrating local filmmaking and storytelling.
Whether you’re screening your first short film or you’re an established filmmaker with a new project to share, we’d love to hear from you.
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking bold, engaging and original short films across all genres, including:
- Drama
- Documentary
- Comedy
- Animation
- Experimental
- Thriller
- Horror
- Romance
- Science Fiction
Films must be 20 minutes or less.
Preference will be given to filmmakers who live, work or have a strong connection to Lakeview, Port Credit, Long Branch, Mineola, Applewood, Dixie, Sheridan, Alderwood, South Etobicoke or the wider Mississauga area.
Our audiences are diverse, so we encourage you to bear this in mind when submitting your film. As part of your submission, you’ll be asked to identify your film’s intended audience, recommended age rating and any relevant content warnings.
The Screening
Thursday 27 August 2026
7:30 pm
Small Arms Inspection Building, Mississauga
Three films will be selected for a curated evening showcasing local filmmaking.
Each selected filmmaker will receive a $100 honorarium.
How to Submit
Please complete the Google Form and include:
- Your name and contact information.
- A short biography.
- A synopsis of your film.
- Your film’s running time.
- Your film’s genre.
- The intended audience and recommended age rating.
- Any relevant content warnings.
- A private viewing link to your film, or upload the film directly if the option is available.
As part of the submission process, you’ll also be asked to confirm that you hold the necessary rights to the film and grant CreativeHub 1352 permission to screen it if your submission is selected.

Due to the number of submissions we anticipate receiving, we are unfortunately unable to provide individual feedback on unsuccessful submissions.
