Ibero Sound Arts and Canadian Music Management Collective are looking for artists from the Iberoamerican diaspora to participate in Acoustic Showcases at FOLK Canada 2026.
We are seeking artists performing musical expressions rooted in the Iberoamerican diaspora, including Latin American, Spanish, Portuguese, and Indigenous musical expressions from Iberoamerican territories.

Acoustic Showcases
- Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026
- Time: After 11:00 PM, following the Official Showcases
- Location: Hotel rooms on two floors exclusively reserved for FOLK Canada Conference
- Performance length: Approximately 15 minutes
- Audience: FOLK Canada Conference delegates only
- Registration: Performers must be registered for the FOLK Canada Conference
- Format: Intimate, acoustic performances in hotel rooms
Acoustic Requirements
- No microphones or PA systems.
- Instruments requiring amplification may use up to 10 watts.
- No amplified vocals.
- No drum kits or kick drums.
- Light percussion is permitted, provided it does not disturb neighbouring rooms.
- Think intimate living-room or campfire-style performance.
