
Join us for a reception opening the 4th annual FORMS, FACES & SPACES, figuratively speaking! show, mix and mingle with the artists, and help us celebrate the winners at the awards ceremony on Saturday morning, May 3, from 10:30 to noon. Display and reception in the Upper Sisnett Lobby of the Halton Hills Cultural Centre (HHCC), 9 Church Street, Georgetown.
Then stay to enjoy Memory Scapes, an afternoon of FREE themed programming in the Studio, lower level of the HHCC from noon to 4:30 pm.This is dedicated to exploring and experiencing a basic premise about photography’s creative expression. In Dr. Aditi Ganeev Sangwan’s words, “to take a picture is to intend to create a memory.”
Memory-Scapes explores the many facets, prompts, and motivations that create memories for us, but most importantly, this afternoon will have people considering where do we stores our memories – besides our cell phones – and what makes something remarkable?

- 1:00 – 2:15 pm free presentation by Frank Myers, Photographer, Aditi Sangwan, Photographer, Print-Maker, Artist, and E. Connie Munson, Photographer, Writer, Creative-Animateur
Featured Cyanotype Workshop from 2:30 – 4:30 pm requires advanced registration and payment.
The Cyanotype Workshop [with non-toxic chemicals] will have participants finishing one project. There will be an overview of the rich history of this medium and arts practice presented and a take-away pamphlet on the history with more information on additional courses. Dr. Aditi Ganeev Sangwan studies and arts practice are with printmaking, photography with alternate media [non-toxic chemicals], and painting. This afternoon is an important part of the spirit behind this 4th annual FORMS, FACES & SPACES, figuratively speaking! show. It is a registered satellite site of the world’s largest photography event, the CONTACT Festival, now in its 29th year.
