Music Monday: A Celebration of Music Education

MUSIC MONDAY was created to celebrate the power of music and demonstrate how that power is rooted in school music programs.

On the first Monday in May each year, Music Monday is observed in many ways across the country – in school classrooms, special school assemblies, group concerts of area schools, concerts of community bands, and choirs with special events.

This year, more than 200,000 children, youth, teachers, parents, music-makers, and community members across Canada will join #TogetherInHarmony for Music Monday.

Music has the magic power to connect us! At 12:30 pm ET, we gather to sing (and perform) the Music Monday anthem.  This year, we are thrilled to share that our Music Monday song, is Hold On by legendary Canadian rock band Triumph.
