The shoulder girdle is a marvel of mobility – a floating framework of bones, muscles, breath and intention.
It was designed to reach, to gesture, to express your yes, your no, your maybe. To carry, to release. To open, to hold.
But so often it becomes a shelf for the weight we bear – the ‘shoulds’, the tension, the quiet ways we brace against the world.
This part of you is not just structural. It’s emotional. It’s deeply relational.
When we move with awareness, when we breathe into the space between collarbones and shoulder-blades, when we soften the grip around our hearts – the shoulders become wings again.
Let’s begin there. With breath. With presence. With permission to release.
In this 4-week series, we’ll lighten the load by integrating the breath and embodied mindful movement to reconnect with the bones and soft tissues of the shoulder girdle. Together, we’ll explore how these movements not only restore shoulder mobility but also influence our expression and the health of the spine.
