A Gripping, 7-Actor Adaptation of Dostoevsky’s Classic at the 2026 Hamilton Fringe Festival
This July, Mississauga-based theatre collective A Drama Studio presents its debut show: a narrative adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s legendary 1864 novella, Notes From Underground. Running from July 16 to July 25 at The Players’ Guild of Hamilton as a part of the Hamilton Fringe Festival, this production breathes theatrical life into a haunting story of guilt, isolation, and tyrannical pride.
Brought to life by a dynamic ensemble cast of seven, this production invites the audience to join The Underground Man as he grapples with something terrible he did on a dirty, snowy night 15 years ago. Through this vivid retelling of his past, the play poses urgent, timeless questions: What is the price of arrogance? What is the cost of checking out of life? And is there a way out of the “Underground”?
