In the late 1990s, the Adams Mine in Northern Ontario was proposed as a landfill for Toronto’s waste.
The plan was met with strong local resistance, culminating in a blockade that stopped the project.
This exhibition reflects on that moment — and on the enduring questions it raises about land, responsibility, and what we choose to leave behind.
