Enjoy a self-guided hike through the gorgeous trails of Cawthra Woods. As you explore this historic site surrounded by towering trees, you will also be able to find Trail Markers created by local artist Joanne DeGraaf that highlight local species and include recordings and additional information on how we all play a part in the forest ecosystem’s wellbeing.

What to bring: Your family, friends, and curiosity!

What to expect: Drop in anytime between 11 am and 2 pm. When you arrive, check in with us at the registration table to pick up a trail map, then head out on a self-guided scavenger hunt to find all the trail markers. We will also have activity sheets for kids!

Meeting Location: Trail entrance at the Cawthra-Elliot Estate; Free parking available
