Indigenous Drum Making Workshop
October 24 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm EDT
$150.00

Join us for a hands-on workshop to craft your own 12-inch (30 cm) traditional deerhide hand drum under the guidance of artist and Knowledge Keeper Philip Cote.
This experience weaves together the art of drum making with teachings on its cultural significance, symbolism, and caretaking traditions. Each participant will leave with a finished drum and a deeper connection to its spirit and sound. At a later date to be arranged, you will be invited to bring your drum to a drum birthing ceremony. This will be explained in the workshop.
The fee covers all materials and instruction to make a 12-inch deerhide hand drum, plus the drum birthing ceremony. Light refreshments and snacks provided.
