Internationally acclaimed violinist Andrew Sords reunites with Chamber Music Society of Mississauga’s Artistic Director and pianist Cheryl Duvall to open a new season of Midday Melodies.
Longtime collaborators, Andrew and Cheryl have been making music together for 16 years, developing an enormous shared repertoire and a musical partnership marked by virtuosity, spontaneity, warmth, and an unmistakable connection on stage.
For this lunchtime performance, the duo will draw from some of their favourite works from across those 16 years—a lively and varied program showcasing the expressive range of the violin and piano repertoire. From dazzling virtuosity to soaring lyricism and intimate musical conversations, this concert offers a chance to experience two longtime musical partners doing what they love most: sharing great music together.
