In 2020, during the COVID lockdown, eight artists created a collective critique group to ease the isolation of painting alone. Thus Salon 39 was born, and has continued as a weekly critique for the past six years. From Zoom to backyards to in-person gatherings… this exhibition honours our commitment to art and to our friendship.
