Live Painting Competition @ TD Mosaic Festival x SPAG

Ten emerging artists will be selected to participate in a two-hour live painting competition at TD MOSAIC Festival 2026, juried by Canadian Community Arts Initiative (CCAI) Artistic Director: Asma Mahmood, and Sauga Plein Air Group (SPAG) Lead Organizer: Leo Dias.

In celebration of our diverse backgrounds and the beautiful mosaic that our unity creates, the artists will be painting a still life composition of various elements that represent the richness of culture and heritage.

The ten artists will receive a bursary of $100 for their participation in the event, with winning artists receiving DeSerres Art Supplies Gift Cards for:
1st Prize: $100
2nd Prize: $75
3rd Prize: $50

Location: TD Mosaic Festival 2026, Celebration Square, Mississauga. (300 City Centre Dr, Mississauga, ON L5B 3C1)

Date: Saturday August 1st, 2026
Time: 4PM-6PM (2 hrs)
Followed by jurors deliberation on best interpretation of theme, artistic execution, as well as pick for honourable mention.
