Two-Spirit Beading Workshop! w/ Kaitlyn Wilcox & Joseph Snache

Indigenous beadwork is all the rage these days, but it’s so much more than a bold fashion statement. It’s an art-form with deep medicinal roots for Indigenous communities across Turtle Island. As a part of LAMP East Mississauga Community Health Centre’s 2SLGBTQ+ programming, we’re inviting you to explore this rich tradition through a LGBTQ+ perspective in our new Two-Spirit Beading Workshop!
Join Mississauga-based 2S Bodéwadmi artist Kaitlyn Wilcox, 2S Ojibwe Knowledge Keeper Joseph Snache, and Queer Afro-settler organizer Angelo Brown for an afternoon of hands-on education, suitable for beginners and experienced beaders alike. FREE refreshments will be served, including food catered by the 2S-led Afro-Indigenous Fusions!
