Walking Meditation Session

August 18 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm EDT
$20

Unwind in this gentle one-hour walking meditation designed to help you slow down, focus inward, and reconnect with yourself. As we walk along an intentionally set path at the Small Arms Inspection Building, take in the sights and cultivate calm and awareness, everyone’s experience will be unique.

Through mindful movement and guided reflection, led by our instructor Carissa Beresford, participants will be encouraged to become more present in their bodies, be non-judgemental of their surroundings, focus on their breath, and build internal connection through self-reflection and inner healing.

Allow yourself a moment to pause, release, soak in some beautiful nature and nurture the soul. Introduction to labyrinths, intention setting, how to set a path for a walking meditation, and journaling reflections will be discussed.

Open to people 16 years of age and older and all experience levels.

Agenda:
-15 minutes of introductions, path and intention setting
-30 minutes of walking meditation practice (you walk the same intentionally set path repetitively, allowing the body to mindfully follow so that no decisions need to be made and you can access your inner world for calmness, clarity and connection)
-15 minutes of reflection and questions
