Singers and music lovers! All are welcome to our next edition of West Vocal Jam featuring professional vocalist Sam Broverman. Join us on Monday, May 25 at 7pm at the Crooked Cue in Port Credit.

This event was created to support vocalists in an encouraging, laid-back environment. All levels welcome. Let’s sing, get together and have some fun. Vocalists, please email hcb@rogers.com to secure your performing spot.

Our featured vocalist Sam Broverman is a professional jazz singer and songwriter who performs in jazz venues regularly across Canada, as well as Asia and the United States. He has released five jazz albums sine 2011, the most recent being the album titled ”Memories of You”. That album, released in 2024, consists of original songs, many of which were co-written with Tony Quarrington.

At West Vocal Jam, we have some wonderful musicians performing for us including Jazz pianist Peter Hill on keys and Mississauga’s Dave Field on bass.

Due to demand, singers are asked to email hcb@rogers.com to pre-register to have a guaranteed performance spot. ALL ATTENDEES are welcome to pay-what-you-can in lieu of a cover charge. Suggested donation of $10-$20.

Singers – bring 2 copies of your charts or lead sheets for the band. Please note – NO SHEET MUSIC or multiple pages. If you need any help with this, please contact Heather directly at hcb@rogers.com.

The purpose of the event is to provide a welcoming, encouraging community space where we can sing, learn and jam for the love of music! Zero pressure! Just fun!

The Crooked Cue is located at 75 Lakeshore Rd E in Mississauga. Kindly be advised this venue is not wheelchair accessible.
