Mississauga Poets! After a successful past season, we are delighted to welcome applications for our mentorship program at Parentheses Journal.

Conceptualized and created by our poetry editor Sneha Subramanian Kanta, this mentorship program brings 8 hours of one on one mentorship over 3 months. You can discuss all things writing: whether it be working on a new manuscript, putting together a chapbook collection, writing new poems, getting started with your publishing journey, applying for grants, writing residencies, and more! There is a tremendous gap in accessibility for emerging writers, and this mentorship program is designed to illuminate through conversation and creation. You may expect to work on new poems, gather reading recommendations, and closely read your own voice on the page.

You can apply by emailing us at editors@parenthesesjournal.com with “Mentorship Program Spring 2026 – [Your Name]” as the subject line by April 16, 2026. Attach 6 – 10 unpublished poems and a 1- page letter outlining your writing goals as a Word document.

We especially encourage marginalized creators to submit. We look forward to receiving your applications.
