Oakville-based artist Sharn Bassi was selected as one of eight artists for the 5X Art Party, presented by 5X Fest as part of Inkquisitive’s 15-Year World Tour — Mississauga stop at the Small Arms Inspection Building, powered by CBC (August 21, 2026).
Bassi exhibited her Heer series – five works reclaiming the feminine archetypes of Punjabi folklore (Warrior, Empath, Healer, Sage, Influencer) as grounded, sovereign, and self-defined — projected at large scale alongside five framed archival prints.
Heer is part of a larger body of work exploring South Asian heritage, the sacred feminine, and diaspora memory. Bassi is a Mississauga Arts Council member available for commissions, murals, and corporate art experiences across the GTA.
