Literature and visual arts connect in this distinctive book club. Join Brampton Library and PAMA for a discussion of the book Split Tooth by Tanya Tagaq. Haunting, brooding, exhilarating, and tender all at once, Tagaq moves effortlessly between fiction and memoir, myth and reality, poetry and prose, and conjures a world and a heroine readers will never forget. The book discussion will be paired with a tour of the exhibition Land, Sea, Sky: Inuit Art from PAMA’s Collection, which showcases Inuit prints, sculptures, drawings, and traditional dolls. Each piece reflects the deep relationship Inuit artists have with their environment and connects visitors to the varied cultures that have thrived in the Arctic for generations.
