We’re a group of artists who meet Friday mornings at Visual Arts Mississauga Riverwood (VAM) and draw the figure.
There is no instruction. The drop-in cost is $25 per session which runs from 9:30 to 12:30. You can also pe-pay for 9 sessions at a cost of $200 and get one session free. We run a fall, winter and spring semester consisting of 9 sessions each. You can pay by cash during a session or e-transfer to figurativexpressions2010@gmail.com.
We change up the posing times each week. Week 1 is short poses ranging from 1 minute gestures up to 5-30 minute poses. Week 2 is 1 minute gestures to longer 10-60 minute poses. Week 3 is one long 3 hour pose- (some of use bring in the paints for the long pose). Then we start the weekly rotation again.

It’s a diverse, relaxed, friendly group from beginner to professional artists. We provide easels, tables and drawing horses, you bring whatever medium you’d like to work with.
We begin drawing around 9:30am but you should arrive 10-15 minutes beforehand to get set up. Help with setting up the room is appreciated (moving tables) as is putting the room back to the way we found it after (moving tables). Also, don’t forget to switch that mute button on your phone while we’re all drawing away- Thanks.
