You can easily search for artist profiles, news, events, articles, and so much more. We’re the perfect hub to connect with and be part of a larger community. Oh, and did we mention that we have an awesome communications and marketing team that curates posts and articles just for you? How to Join “SAH”?

To join the Sauga Arts HUB you need to be a member of the Mississauga Arts Council, a registered charity founded in 1981.

How does SaugaArtsHUB.com define “INFORM, ENGAGE, INSPIRE”?

Our tagline is “inform, engage, inspire.” We aim to provide the people of Mississauga with the information they need to find and enjoy local artists and their work. To achieve this, we strive to be timely, informative and inspiring. We also aim to engage Mississauga residents with what their local creatives are producing for them.

Additionally, we seek to enable more connections with our communities to raise awareness of the artistic talent present in Mississauga. Our ultimate goal is to inspire and entertain visitors with a taste of the fantastic creative experiences available to them.

What if I’m not a resident of Mississauga?

Welcome to SaugaArtsHUB.com. Although our resources are primarily aimed towards Mississauga residents, you can still join the Mississauga Arts Council or subscribe to our HUBnewsletter for FREE. This way, you can stay up-to-date with creative events, artist opportunities and other relevant information. And while we prioritize community building with Mississauga residents, we know that regional supporters are a huge part of the success of local artists and we seek to serve all who are interested in the creative activities of the HUB community. 

SAFEGUARDS

All data collected by SAH is securely stored in Canada and operated by our 100% Canadian owned hosting provider, CanTrust Hosting Co-operative.

SAH protects User/Member/Subscriber information by ensuring security safeguards appropriate to the level of sensitivity are in place. Only authorized staff can access and process User/Member/Subscriber information based on the reason(s) for which it was obtained. Measures are taken to ensure the integrity of User/Member/Subscriber information is maintained, and to prevent it from being lost, stolen, or destroyed.

SAH employees and any person or organization that provides services on our behalf sign Privacy and Confidentiality Agreements, and are required to take privacy training. Standards for handling User/Member/Subscriber information in compliance with privacy laws are in place to ensure that the information is not accessed, disclosed, or shared more widely than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was gathered.

Upon request, SAH will inform a User/Member/Subscriber about the existence, use, and disclosure of their information, and will provide access to that information. If the User/Member/Subscriber challenges the accuracy and completeness of the information, it can be amended if appropriate.

YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND THE INTERNET

SAH is committed to protecting the privacy of those who use our website. SAH does not systematically collect any information about the identity of individuals searching our site.

SAH does collect statistical information through a log file which indicates which pages were visited and how frequently. This information is analyzed to help us develop content that responds to the interests of our site visitors.

SAH’s website uses Google Analytics 4 to track usage of our website for reporting and evaluation purposes. Google Analytics 4 uses first-party cookies to report on user interactions on Google Analytics 4 customers’ websites. These cookies are used to store non-personally identifiable information. Browsers do not share first-party cookies across domains. For further information on the privacy policy concerning Google Analytics 4, please see http://www.google.com/analytics/learn/privacy.html.

SAH also uses Google Analytics 4 to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. GA4 is a service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.), which enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. GA4 employs a combination of client-side and server-side data collection methods. This includes a device’s IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. 

Information submitted by Users, Members, and/or Subscribers on a voluntary basis helps CBA evaluate our services. Information provided by visitors to the CBA site is only used as needed to fulfill the stated purpose of their requests. CBA is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of the websites to which it may link.

CONSENT

When you sign up to receive information and/or access SAH’s online services as a Member or Subscriber, your name and email address must be provided. By entering and submitting this information, you are providing implied consent, which is inferred from the action of submitting.

Information provided by Users/Members/Subscribers will not be used or disclosed by SAH for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or as required by law. The information is retained for up to one (1) year following last contact from you or the expiration of your membership or subscription, to allow for delays in account reactivation.
