What is the Visual Communications
The VCS pairs nonprofit organizations with teams of talented Illustration or Photography students, each supervised by a professor from Sheridan’s Faculty of Animation, Art & Design. Students work on a visual communications
Past partners include:
- Brampton Arts Organization
- The Art Gallery of Burlington
- Community Living Mississauga
- Lighthouse for Grieving Children
Examples of previous projects:
- Mural and environmental design
- Branding and marketing materials
- Illustrated books and infographics
- Event or campaign photography
Through this collaboration, your organization gains dedicated support from some of our most creative and skilled emerging professionals, at no expense.

What We Need from You
To formalize our 2026 VCS partners, please:

We ask that participating nonprofits designate a primary contact with a visual art OR marketing background to guide communication throughout the project. Once finalized, we will let you know whether your assigned student team is from the Illustration or Photography program and may follow up for more project details as needed.
