This November–December, Mississauga-based poet and visual artist Meena Chopra will travel to India for a series of three by-invitation presentations of her latest multimedia literary work, Charismatic Chiaroscuro: Poetry and Art. The book integrates 44 poems, 80 art images, and 78 art videos, offering readers an immersive experience through QR-linked digital content that bridges the tactile and virtual worlds.

Her tour begins on November 27 at the India International Centre, New Delhi, where scholars and writers will have a panel discussion on Charismatic Chiaroscuro as part of a session exploring the intersections of art, poetry, and technology. From there, Chopra will travel to Bhopal (Nov 28–30) to represent Canada at the Tagore International Literature & Arts Festival, Vishwarang 2025, which hosts participants from over 65 countries of Indian diaspora abroad. Her program includes the screening of her Hindi poetry film Shymal Si based on immigrant experience and readings from her translations of Prof. Malashri Lal’s Mandal Dhwani. The tour concludes on December 14 at the Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi, Chandigarh, with an extended multimedia presentation and exhibition. Together, these engagements celebrate cross-cultural dialogue and affirm Mississauga’s vibrant creative presence on the international stage.
