Laura Kay Keeling: Untitled Portals @ Smokestack Gallery, Hamilton

With a focused interest in exploring the socio-environmental relationships of her immediate surroundings, Keeling’s most recently created Untitled Portals series of prints incorporates elements from the natural environment with her extensive archive of ephemera that directly reference the local region around Hamilton where she now lives and works.

Laura Kay Keeling’s works have been exhibited extensively across Ontario and internationally in the United States and South Korea. She has received numerous grants from the Ontario Arts Council and her work has been distributed across a range of Canadian popular culture channels including presentation in feature films, music albums and videos, commercial apparel, and The Walrus Magazine among others. Alongside her studio practice, Keeling is an active arts administrator and instructor.
