EARLY BIRD Call to Submit for Experienced Exhibitors

3rd annual FORMS, FACES & SPACES, figuratively speaking! proudly part of the 28th Scotiabank CONTACT Festival Exhibition … the world’s largest photography event!

Photographers & other artists with 3 years of show experience may be in a bonus 2-month show at the Artway Gallery located in Shoppers World, Brampton.

Looking Back, Looking Forward, will hang February 4 – April 7, 2024 showcasing work and

  • featured creatives from 2022 & 2023 FORMS, FACES & SPACES, figuratively speaking!
  • random draw of 20 photographers and artists’ work pulled from the submission packages
  • presenting the 2024 Artful Communities in Action roster, key events, and organizers
  • Early Bird pricing is $50.00 for up to 3 pieces [i.e. triptychs are counted as 3]

Theme of the May show is figurative-based and what speaks to the human condition: how do we interact, how do we hold space, our interactions with the natural environment, how do we create community? The exploration of these questions will reveal both what is uniquely different yet profoundly the same in people. It will help answer those larger questions of “Who am I? What
does it mean to be human?”

A total of $1,500.00 prizes for work in 3rd annual May show hanging at these galleries:

  • Falls Gallery at the Alton Mill Arts Centre in Alton
  • Main Gallery at the Humber River Centre, Downtown Bolton
  • Upper Sisnett Lobby at the Halton Hills Cultural Centre, Downtown Georgetown

Highlights for 2024 year include …

  • May show in three galleries in two regions that are renowned tourist destination areas
  • 2 month spring teaser show with bonus 3 month touring show of winners June – August
  • May 2024 3rd annual show at registered satellite sites of Scotiabank CONTACT Festival
  • premiere Festival of Artful Communities – weekly music and film at galleries/venues
  • key events planned for each gallery with a Passport Tour for visitors and viewers
