March 10, 2023.

Congratulations to Mississauga author Zohra Zoberi who has been nominated to be a recipient for Women’s Federation for World Peace Canada’s HerStory Award.

The award is based on WFWP Canada’s initiative to uplift women’s stories, recognizing and honouring women not only for their outstanding accomplishments, but the story behind these achievements.

From WFWP Canada:

“Each HerStory recipient has been selected for her courage, compassion, and commitment to using her gifts and talents to uplift others, despite often overwhelming challenges. Her Story is a captivating look at North America’s often unsung female champions that will resonate with women and men alike. This is a tribute to all the women around the world who are not just leaders, but peace leaders that are “Living by the Logic of Love.””

The award will be presented at their International Women’s Day Luncheon, “Innovation and Technological Change as Tools to Achieving Gender Equality” on March 25, 11 AM – 2 PM at Canadiana Restaurant in Toronto. Emma Asiedu-Akrofi, Executive Director Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women’s Empowerment and Deepa Mahanti, Social Activist and Writer, Director of Short Films and Documentaries will be speaking at the event.
